The primary aim of IQAC is 

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices


IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for 

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks;
  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes;
  • Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society;
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning;
  • The credibility of evaluation procedures;
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services;
  • Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad. 


Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are: 

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education;
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;
  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution;
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.


The Internal Quality Assurance Cell [IQAC] is the most indispensible institutional constituent that assiduously strives for consistently qualitative performance of the college with unstinted and concerted efforts of the teacher and the taught. Indeed, it is a step towards excellence.  It brings about coordination among all the departments in the planning and execution of all the curricular activities of teaching, learning and evaluation. However, it is the sense of belongingness and participation that is pronounced in our teaching fraternity and the stakeholders alike which counts a lot/goes a long way in the successful realization of our institutional endeavours.  The IQAC leaves no stone unturned in creating a learner-centric academic ambience in the college duly benefitting from the latest technology manifest in virtual and digital classrooms and other ICT-related teaching pedagogies.

The IQAC collects feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional efforts, which is instrumental in evolving new strategies for qualitative progress of the college.  The teaching-learning outcome is constantly monitored through interactive sessions with the teachers and the students and by conducting internal academic audit as well, which culminates in the perceptible strengthening of the student performance in all dimensions namely curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular. The IQAC explores the possibilities for teacher research and development. Workshops and seminars at regional and national level are organized as frequently as possible for professional enrichment of the faculty members besides benefitting the students. All the college activities are carefully drafted and recorded for future reference and guidance and encouragement. It is staunchly hoped that the IQAC will get further strengthened by providing quality education in letter and spirit to the student community so as to reach the college to global standards.
